Happy almost total eclipse eve to our readers in North America. On Monday viewers along a narrow path from western Mexico to eastern Canada will be treated to this natural event and we want to see your pictures! 

We're launching a new series of DPReview Editor's Photo Challenges on the website. Check out the story below for details. 

And for our friends not in North America, we'll have a live stream of the eclipse on our homepage on Monday. Let's make a day of it.

This week we also looked back on 25 years of April Fools at DPReview and got a little 'meta' with it. Camera Debate Madness is also down to one final question. Scroll down to tell us what you think.

Turning to every dad's favorite topic, the weather. After a few sunny days (as you may have noticed in recent sample galleries) April showers are starting to settle in for us in Seattle. So I guess we'll be weather-testing gear when we're not indoors testing it. Stay tuned.

April Fools Day pranks and internet media go together like butter and toast. During our 25th anniversary year, join us as we look back at some of our favorite gags.
Nikon 28-400mm F4-8 pre-production sample gallery
Earlier this week, Nikon announced the Nikkor Z 28-400mm F4-8 VR, a superzoom lens for Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras. We had an opportunity to shoot a small sample gallery around Seattle's Capitol Hill using a pre-production copy of the lens.
