Today's Featured PostEcobag Turned into a Coloring Apron
By katrine2706
This craft is made from a white ecobag from the grocery. My brother made it himself as a gift to my son. The picture was printed into the bag first and then he transformed it into an apron which my kid enjoyed coloring and at the same time he can use it as he helps me in the kitchen.

Using Natures Own For Decorations, While Going Green
By Ana
I love creating decorations from items that are free! Not only is it free, it smells nice, adds earthy freshness, and can be changed out and composted, eaten, or dried for arrangements. With apples from the tree, pine cones, and my favorite magnolia leaves, all of earth's freshness, can go back to the earth.

A tissue core can amazingly be made into different things. Now, that the "ber" months have started, as part of our family tradition, we have also started decorating our homes for the holiday season. This season's theme may involve a lot of paper rolls and tissue core crafts. Here's one.

Popsicle Stick Desktop Organizer
By attosa
This colourful desktop organizer is made from a toilet paper tube and Popsicle sticks. Here, I've used it to keep my brushes organized. I've added a small bowl for mixing colours. This organizer can also be used to hold pencils. Just replace the bowl with erasers or a Post-it note pad. This is a great craft for kids.

Here is another idea how you can recycle/reuse magazines. You can create your own greeting card, and leave the inside of the card blank. This is a thoughtful handmade card that is perfect as a thank you card, for teacher appreciation week, just a hello, happy birthday, it essentially can be used for any occasion!

Fall Themed Kitchen Tea Invitation
By Benetta
I have a pack of napkins that was left over after a garden party. I decided to turn them into invitations for a kitchen tea. The kitchen tea was a brunch, so the mushrooms printed on the napkins were ideal for the occasion.

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend Fairieworlds, which takes place not too far from my home. It is an all-ages art and music festival where everyone is encouraged to dress up. I put together this outfit from a dress I already had and maybe $10 of dollar store craft items. I felt very cute and comfortable the entire afternoon.

I Love Chairs As Planters In My Garden
By Ana
I love the look of chairs transformed into lovely garden pieces. My favorite type of chair is metal. They are so easy to transform, by removing the seat or just using the full chair. You can see how using chairs as planters while only spending a little money makes a real conversational piece in your outdoor space!

Upcycled Cardboard Box to Gift Basket
By 15mhhm15
I make little gift baskets as birthday gifts for my co-workers with products I coupon. I like to gift self love, mini pampering kits, essentially "me time" in a basket.

As a crafter, I am always looking for ways to incorporate green crafting into my crafts, using recycled materials whenever I can. Recently I realized that one could turn old vinyl record jackets and an empty packaging box into a sturdy base for a wreath. A great money saver!

My embroidery supplies always ended up in a tangled mess stuffed in a shoe box somewhere. Until I noticed the flat, little plastic thingies for sale at the craft store to wind your floss around. Then I noticed the price. Puh-leeze!

Most things eventually fall apart, but not all at the same time. Here, two pairs of my boots became so worn out, they were too dangerous for wear. They were not suitable for donation, however, the silver hardware and laces were still like new. I removed them to use in crafts and sewing projects.

This craft was taught to us back in the 5th grade and I used to display this cute little furry thing on my bags as a keychain. This project is shared with us at school to let the kids know that there are simple craft ideas that we can use or sell. It's actually a good idea for crafty entrepreneurs.

A really cute easy scroll for fall. You can use these same methods for other sayings or patterns. I think it is so versatile you could make and give them as gifts. Easy to make, but yet pretty when finished.

Paper Pieced Vegetable Pillow Cover
By R Barbara
I love to make paper pieced projects. I took a brief break from a quilt to make this pillow cover for the DH's birthday. I had made my carrot book page weight and that inspired me to look for some veggie blocks.

Make this cute pair of tongs for toast. Decorate craft sticks with marker. Glue the craft sticks to the sides of a clothespin, so most of the craft stick will hang over the lower end.

I previously replied to a request of what to do with excess shells. I explained how I decorated wooden or chipboard (MDF in Australia) mirror or picture frames with shells. I recently made one for a friend who celebrated her 40th birthday on the weekend.
