Dear reader

Monday was a very significant day in the battle against Covid-19 as primary school pupils between P1 and P3 returned to the classroom for the first time since before Christmas

The Province, as we know, has been under strict lockdown, with the closure of schools among the most controversial of the restrictions that have been imposed on our lives.

It remains to be seen when the remainder of our pupils are able to resume their education, but Education Minister Peter Weir has said that he believes that all primary school pupils should return before Easter

The latest daily Covid-19 statistics released by the Department of Health show that another two people with the virus have died.

In addition, another 144 people have tested positive over the last 24 hours
