  The plan, released Friday by the Department of Education, would narrow the definition of sexual harassment. It would require schools to investigate sexual assault only if the misconduct was reported to certain campus officials and only if it happened on campus or other areas overseen by the institution. Students accused would also be allowed to cross-examine accusers.
