Welcome to EFG London Jazz Festival 2022, which brings living legends and fresh talent to jazz clubs, concert halls, and quirky cultural spaces all over the capital, 11-20 November.
This is a particularly auspicious edition of London's biggest pan-city music festival. EFG London Jazz Festival turns 30 this year, and it's put together an extra-special programme to celebrate. It's a chance to discover jazz from all corners of the world in iconic venues like Ronnie Scott's, the Barbican and the Southbank Centre, plus many, many more.

Spectacular Opening Gala A superb selection of soloists kicks off the festival on 11 November at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall. These include two-time Grammy winner Kurt Elling, reggae and funk-jazz legend Carroll Thompson, and alt country and blues singer-songwriter Amythyst Kiah, to name but a few. The opening gala is conducted by Guy Barker and features the specially-created EFG London Jazz Festival Orchestra. |

From Chicago To London The jazz scenes of Chicago and London come together for one very special evening at the Barbican on 12 November. Artists include London-based Mancunian poet, saxophonist, and composer Alabaster DePlume; Chicago's spiritual jazz oracle Angel Bat Dawid; multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer Ben LaMar Gay; and guitarist Jeff Parker, of Tortoise and Chicago Underground. |

Afro-Cuban Jazz Legend Chucho Valdés is a living legend of the Afro-Cuban jazz scene, with a career spanning six decades and six Grammy awards, plus three Latin Grammys to his name. He comes to Royal Festival Hall on 20 November to showcase his incredible body of work, including his new composition La Creación with the Yoruban Orchestra, Hilario Durán and John Beasley. |
