Mae pawb angen cefnogaeth yn y gwaith. Gweithredwch nawr a chael effaith gadarnhaol.

Cyhoeddodd HSE ganllawiau anstatudol, set o egwyddorioncraidd syml, i helpu cyflogwyr i greu gweithleoedd sy'n ddiogel ac yn gefnogol i alluogi gweithwyr anabl neu weithwyr â chyflwr iechyd hirdymor i ffynnu.

Mae'r canllawiau hefyd yn cynnwys enghreifftiau ymarferol, i ddangos sut y gellir cymhwyso'r egwyddorion hyn yn y gweithle.

Nid yw'n hawdd bob amser i recriwtio'r bobl sydd eu hangen arnoch i helpu'ch busnes i lwyddo. Felly, mae cadw a datblygu talent yn eich busnes yn bwysig.

Dechreuwr sgwrs

Mae creu gweithle cefnogol sy'n galluogi yn dechrau trwy gael sgyrsiau - i agor sianeli i weithwyr godi llais, codi pryderon neu drafod sut y gallai trefniadau yn y gwaith fod yn eu hatal rhag cyflawni eu nodau yn y gwaith.

Gall rhoi gwell dealltwriaeth i bobl o sut mae eu cydweithwyr yn profi gwaith gael gwared ar stigma a rhagdybiaethau.

Mae HSE wedi datblygu Pecyn Cymorth Siarad  i helpu cyflogwyr a rheolwyr i strwythuro'r sgyrsiau anodd hyn.

Dylai cefnogaeth fod yn ymrwymiad drwy gydol y flwyddyn

Cofiwch nad yw pob anabledd neu gyflwr yn weladwy ac efallai nad yw rhai o'ch gweithwyr wedi datgelu cyflwr iechyd i chi. Gall dechrau'r sgyrsiau hyn roi hyder i weithwyr ddatgelu.

Gall defnyddio ein canllawiau a Phecyn Cymorth Siarad helpu'ch sefydliad i greu dull cynhwysol o ymdrin ag iechyd yn y gweithle.

Gyda'r offer hyn, gall busnesau helpu i atal absenoldeb salwch hirdymor gan arwain at bobl fynd yn ddi-waith. Yn ogystal â'r effaith sylweddol y gall hyn ei chael ar y gweithiwr, gall hefyd gael effaith negyddol ar y busnes pan gollir profiad, gwybodaeth a safbwyntiau gweithwyr. Gall arwain at ofynion recriwtio a hyfforddiant ychwanegol ar gyfer busnesau yr effeithir arnynt a llai o gynhyrchiant.

Everyone needs support at work. Take action now and make a positive impact.

HSE published non-statutory guidance, a set of simple core principles, to help employers create workplaces that are safe and supportive to enable disabled workers or workers with long-term health condition to thrive.

The guidance also contains practical examples, to demonstrate how these principles can be applied in the workplace.

It’s not always easy recruiting the people you need to help your business succeed. So, keeping and developing talent in your business is important.

Conversation starter

Creating a supportive and enabling workplace starts by having conversations - to open channels for workers to speak up, raise concerns or to discuss how arrangements at work may be preventing them from achieving their goals at work.

Giving people a better understanding about how their colleagues experience work can remove stigma and pre-conceptions.

HSE has developed a Talking Toolkit to help employers and managers structure these potentially difficult conversations.

Support should be an all year round commitment

Remember not all disabilities or conditions are visible and some of your workers may not have disclosed a health condition to you. Starting these conversations may give workers the confidence to open up.

Using our guidance and Talking Toolkit can help your organisation to create an inclusive approach to workplace health.

With these tools, businesses can help prevent long-term sickness absence resulting in people falling out of work. As well as the significant impact this can have on the worker, it can also have a negative impact on the business when workers’ experience, knowledge and perspectives are lost. It can result in additional recruitment and training requirements for affected businesses and reduced productivity.
