He's been called one of the "100 Most Powerful People in Finance," made Foreign Policy's Top 100 Global Thinkers list four times and served as chair of President Obama's Global Development Council. Mohamed El-Erian, now chief economic adviser at Allianz, parent company of PIMCO, is one of the most well-known economists in the world today. In a recent ETF.com interview, El-Erian shared some of his keen insights into the markets, his thoughts on the economy and on the biggest challenge facing financial advisors. (But don’t hold your breath for a major scoop: He’s still not talking about whether he’s interested in the role of Federal Reserve vice chairman—a position he’s said to be in the running for.) You can read the entire article here. El-Erian will be speaking at the upcoming 2018 Inside ETFs conference, where he'll give a keynote address, “Are We in a Bubble?” and tell us what he thinks the future holds for the U.S., the world and your portfolio. Inside ETFs is the world's largest and most comprehensive ETF conference, with over 150 speakers and 2,300 attendees. You can learn more about the conference from our agenda and see the other speakers here. Check it out, and then join us this January in sunny Florida.
