Electrolux ready to hire 500 for new facilities

After coming together slower than company officials originally predicted, a new Electrolux assembly plant in Anderson is ready to hire. Through Greenville-based Human Technologies Inc., the company intends to hire more than 500 workers by May.

Port volumes strong despite virus disruptions

The S.C. Ports Authority recorded the highest February cargo volumes and rail moves ever last month despite concerns that the new coronavirus could impact supply chains. The two inland ports also saw record activity in February, with Inland Port Greer reporting 13,749 rail moves and Inland Port Dillon reporting 3,068 rail moves. That’s a 22.3% year-over-year increase for Greer.

The Return to the Green Irish festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary in Greenville's West End, Sunday, March 15, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Fluor Field. Admission to the family-friendly event is free and will host Irish dance performances, Celtic and traditional Irish music acts, Gaelic athletic demonstrations and food and drink sponsored by Guinness.
