WikiCharities: Utah startup aiming to elevate the work of nonprofits across the globe
Angie Holzer saw the good that nonprofits can do, but in decades of experience in that area she also saw a lot of shortcomings. Now, her Utah-based tech startup WikiCharities.org, launched in January 2021, has a goal to "bring more awareness to nonprofits on a global scale, help them be more transparent and provide easier opportunities to be more collaborative."
The Federal Trade Commission is attempting to stop a merger of Steward Health Care System's five Utah hospitals by HCA Healthcare, known as MountainStar Healthcare in the state. The merger would "eliminate competition in the Wasatch Front region," according to the FTC. Read more.
