Don’t get carried away: Kite-flyer gets the fright of her life

Kites are a normal part of outdoor events and festivals, but as anyone who’s flown one can tell you, a stray gust of wind can make them go crazy. So what happens when the person flying a kite doesn't weigh much? Well, one family from Taiwain found out the hard way when their 3-year-old daughter was carried more than 30 feet in the air as a freak gust pulled her kite upwards.

In the now-viral video, the entire festival crowd is shown screaming in horror at the sight of the young girl thrashing around in the air. But in a show of teamwork, nearly everyone worked together to catch the girl before she had a chance to hit the ground. Thankfully they were totally successful and nobody got hurt! Faith in humanity: Restored. You’d be surprised how easily people can catch things when instinct takes over.
