• Troy Ripley has spent the past 13 years dealing with the worst kind of grief a parent can feel and trying to make things better.

• Stephen H. Robbins III, 49, sued Dr. Rafael J. Grossman and Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in February 2019 in Penobscot County Superior Court alleging that the surgeon and the hospital were negligent.

• The FBI conducted a series of raids in Washington and Hancock counties that resulted in more than two dozen arrests. Now, some of those cases are starting to get resolved in the court system.

• Monson, with a population of 654, received a $7,000 grant to equip its downtown area with free public Wi-Fi. It follows an ongoing transformation in the small town since a foundation bought the town's old elementary school and a number of downtown buildings in 2016.

• Words like “terroir” or “mouthfeel” typically get thrown about during a wine tasting, but on Thursday morning in Bangor, such descriptors were pointed at a slightly less exclusive beverage: water.
