Harris debuts plan in fight against pay inequity

Presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., is targeting wage inequity with a plan that includes having companies provide data on their pay practices and receive an "equal pay certification" from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Companies that do not obtain the certification would be fined 1% of their profits for every 1% wage gap found.
