Employees at this Lafayette Starbucks file to unionize; 'We've been pushed to our limits'

By ADAM DAIGLE | Acadiana Business Editor

Good morning, Acadiana. Thanks for reading us this morning.

Following a trend across the country, workers at the Starbucks location at Ambassador Caffery Parkway and Settlers Trace Boulevard have filed a petition to form a union.

In letter to CEO Howard Schultz, workers complained of having to keep the store open when the air-conditioner stopped working for a time in mid-May and allege the store's manager has left in the middle of a shift, failed to show up for a shift and actually slept during a shift.

You can read the story here.

Have a great day and see you back here Wednesday morning.
