Interagency Task Force is protecting children from exploitative labor The Interagency Task Force to Combat Child Labor Exploitation has taken many steps to protect children since it formed in February. The department's efforts include ramping up enforcement, interagency training, updating educational materials and expanding partnerships. More safety violations for Dollar General Dollar General has amassed more than $21 million in penalties for workplace safety failures since 2017, most recently at a Texas store that exposed employees to fire hazards and other dangers. In 2022, OSHA added Dollar General to its Severe Violator Enforcement Program, which includes employers who have shown an indifference to their legal obligations to provide a safe and healthy workplace. |
