Former NFL cheerleaders: $2, Goodell meeting would end case

Kristan Ware and Bailey Davis, two former cheerleaders suing the NFL for discrimination, have offered to settle for $1 each and a four-hour meeting with Commissioner Roger Goodell and league lawyers to "prepare a set of binding rules and regulations which apply to all NFL teams." Ware alleges gender and religious discrimination while working for the Miami Dolphins, while Davis was fired after posting a photograph of herself on Instagram that the New Orleans Saints deemed a violation.

US plans to bar spouses of H-1B holders from working
US Citizenship and Immigration Services plans to do away with the right of spouses of H-1B visa holders to apply for work authorizations in the US, agency Director L. Francis Cissna said in a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. Tech companies say revoking the work authorization program for spouses will make it harder to attract highly skilled foreign workers in an increasingly competitive market.
