Last month, Grades of Green sprouted and spruced up Ramona Elementary School’s garden in Hawthorne along with the Kings Care Foundation and Kellogg Garden Products. With over 40 students and volunteers, the community came together to revitalize the school’s garden by removing overgrown weeds, placing new soil, and planting over 60 plants. The event was covered by local news networks, where students had the opportunity to educate the local community on taking environmental action. The incredible event not only transformed the garden, but also empowered students to become environmental stewards, making a lasting impact on their school and community. |
