Secretary Walsh discusses the benefits of unions and workforce training in Georgia

In the Peach State this week, Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh toured the Turner Job Corps Center, where he discussed critical training for the future workforce. He also delivered remarks at the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union Convention and met with leaders in the Advancing Black Strategist Initiative to discuss the benefits of collective bargaining and how the department is empowering workers while building a more equitable workforce. 

In Detroit, Secretary Walsh highlights the value of workforce training and development

Secretary Walsh toured the Detroit Job Corps Center this week, where he highlighted the value of workforce training in strengthening the nation’s economy and how the department is working to improve job quality while creating access to jobs for underserved communities through the Good Jobs Initiative. He also delivered remarks at the United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America’s 38th annual constitutional convention.
