Is emptying the book drop a chore? Do you need to send more than one person or a particular person because it’s difficult? Not anymore. ErgoPower electric carts are effortlessly operated by one-person up ADA ramps, over thresholds, over thick carpet, rough asphalt, snow, and more.

The cart does all the work for you. No more pushing or pulling and struggling with tough terrain. All you need to do is steer which causes less strain and fatigue on the back and shoulders. Less strain and stress lead to less work-related injuries and may even lower your worker’s compensation.

Intuitive controls include forward and reverse paddles on the steering column and variable speed setting. Colored lights help indicate the remaining charge and buttons for a horn are also included to warn others of your presence.

Want to operate the cart? You’ll need the key to move it. Once the key is inserted, the cart powers on and the controls become available. This keeps the cart from being moved by any unauthorized individuals.

The ErgoPower Cart motor was originally designed for mobility scooters. It is strong enough to push a cart full of books and quiet enough not to cause a disturbance.

When the forward and reverse paddles are not in use, the electric brake is engaged and the wheels lock up to prevent it from rolling away or backwards on ramps. The rugged 8” wheels are designed to tackle any terrain that you need to cross and are paired with two swivel casters for easy steering.

We use only long-lasting gel batteries that are maintenance free and have a longer life than your standard battery. Batteries take 8 hours to charge with the included charger. A one-hour quick charger is also available for purchase.

All of our carts are made of an aerospace grade aluminum alloy that will never rust. In addition to being rust-free, aluminum is also more resistant to dents and dings so your carts won’t look beat up when you bump into something on accident. We coat our aluminum in a glossy, textured, black powder coat finish that is over 2 mils thick. This coating resists scratches and hides fingerprints to keep your cart looking shiny and new.

Every cart includes a self-leveling float tray that lowers as materials are added and raises as they are removed. This keeps the tray at the optimal height for collecting returns to reduce damage done to your collections. Each float tray has a thick felt pad at the bottom to cushion the fall of the first materials that are deposited. This felt pad is water resistant so you don’t need to worry about it retaining water and molding if you do ever happen to get liquids in your cart. By allowing collections to be deposited directly on top of the float tray, the cart has a greater max capacity than one with a collection bag that bunches up and takes up space that could otherwise be used for books or other media.

We’ve added thick guide rods to keep your float try from bending and warping from uneven distribution of materials. The tray stays perfectly in position from the time the first deposit is made to the time the last one is removed. You never have to worry about the tray bending enough to let materials slip through the sides. The guide rods have dampeners at either end to ensure a tight fit and help eliminate rattling so the overall noise of the cart is reduced.
