Endangered list: Preservationists have unveiled 9 unlucky landmarks added to the endangered places list. They range from a 1790s-circa French Colonial cottage to an empty 45-floor skyscraper that’s been, uh, shedding pieces of itself.

Technicality: New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s city travel is back in the news. The mayor spent more than $29,000 to upgrade flights to business or first class, despite a city policy that says that’s a no-no. Because there’s no time limit to reimburse the city for the difference, a Cantrell spokesperson told our Joseph Cranney this: “Technically, she’s not in violation of anything, is she?” (Here's some previous coverage.)
Pub life: Finally, a bar that some feared had made its way onto an endangered list will have new life.
