DEBITS AND CREDITS: Entergy plans to bill its New Orleans customers about $10.2 million to fix the hobbled Grand Gulf nuclear power plant. At the same time, the utility is offering a $150 credit for some low-income customers in New Orleans and surrounding parishes.
LICENSE LAPSE: Howlin’ Wolf, the popular bar and music venue owned by Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s choice to lead the new Office of Nighttime Economy, has operated without a valid alcohol license for more than two months, according to city records. Cantrell’s communications office would not say whether the administration considered this when it hired owner Howard Kaplan for the $114,677-a-year job.
