Entergy settlement: New Orleans gets much of its power from a massive Entergy nuclear power plant in Mississippi and has long been in a dispute with the utility over alleged mismanagement there. Now, the two sides have struck a deal that's worth $250 million to the city. Sam Karlin has the details.
Labor laws: House Republicans advanced a bill Thursday to repeal a law requiring employers to give child workers lunch breaks and to cut unemployment benefits, part of Gov. Jeff Landry's effort to change the state's business environment and reduce regulation. Opponents say the measures are bad for children and laborers. James Finn has the story.
Art sale: New Orleans artist Tom Mann, renowned for his unique jewelry and sculptures, is putting on a career retrospective/sale at his Napoleon Avenue gallery this weekend. Doug MacCash has this report on what spurred Mann's decision to offer up decades of work to eager fans and buyers.
