On Thursday morning, Envestnet pulled back the curtain on its cryptocurrency strategy, which centers on  a crew of new partners and a two-pronged approach.

Envestnet's platform integrations with Flourish Crypto and Gemini are now official, and an educational service provided in partnership with Anthony "Pomp" Pompliano is starting to take shape. Envestnet Head of Product Innovation Dani Fava told Financial Planning it's all part of their plan to push neutral crypto access and education to RIAs as interest in the asset class persists despite tanking values.

And with so much happening in the space, now is the perfect time for advisors to deepen their understanding of digital assets with Financial Planning's new educational video series. The first three videos, "The ABCs of crypto for advisors," "An advisor's guide to cryptocurrency taxation" and "Crypto storage for advisors," are available now. Additional guides focused on how to talk to clients when crypto tanks, searching for hidden crypto assets in divorce settlements and more are on the way.

We're also in the process of filling out the agenda for our inaugural INVEST Cryptocurrency for Advisors event on Dec. 13 and 14 in New York City. Know anyone with cryptocurrency insight that advisors should learn from? Send them my way so FP can make them part of the one-of-a-kind conference.
