Find out how Olivier Dumont is balancing legacy franchises and new IPs in the Hasbro family

Play patterns are shifting, TV audiences are fragmenting, and streaming platforms are popping up faster than you can say “plus". How do you compete for eyeballs? Now part of the Hasbro family and with some of the most popular IPs on the planet in his arsenal, eOne President of Family & Brands Olivier Dumont joins us for an intimate fireside chat to share how he plans on finding the right balance between legacy franchises and new properties, and why a focus on brands is always the answer.

About Olivier Dumont…

As President of eOne Family & Brands, Olivier oversees commercial and creative activities for the division across all media, including development, production, sales, licensing and merchandising. His responsibilities include developing properties into global TV, home entertainment, new media and consumer products brands, while supervising all of eOne's Family operations in the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Brazil and Spain.

Under his leadership, annual retail revenue generated by eOne’s preschool hit property Peppa Pig has surpassed US$1.35 billion, and PJ Masks is up to US$1.15 billion. The company’s latest preschool property, Ricky Zoom, has launched on A-list broadcasters in key global territories including the US, Canada, Latin America, China, the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

Prior to joining Entertainment One, Olivier served as MD of TV-Loonland, where he oversaw creative and commercial activities, including the sourcing and development of kids and family entertainment properties. He had previously been MD of SIP Animation, with responsibility for developing, financing, producing and distributing animated series.

Olivier’s career in television and kids programming began in 1993, when he joined Europe Images International, a major distributor of live-action, documentary and animated programming. He also worked at French broadcaster Canal J, where he was responsible for acquisitions and co-productions and oversaw a complete revamp of the broadcaster’s lineup in terms of programming genres and scheduling.

Olivier studied French and Anglo American law at the Université Paris X Nanterre and intellectual property law at the Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II).
