Just two hours ago, we received a critical update from Israel. In a significant escalation, the IDF launched an attack on a key Hezbollah-Iran airstrip at Kilat Jaber in southern Lebanon. This airstrip, only 20 kilometers from the Israeli border, has been a joint base for Hezbollah and Iran, plotting aerial attacks against Israel. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had previously exposed this base in September 2023, highlighting the visible Iranian flags on the runways. Gallant emphasized that while the land is Lebanese, the control is distinctly Iranian, with Israel being the intended target. This attack is a direct response to the growing threat posed by Iran, often using Hezbollah and other proxies in its conflicts against Israel.
