#1 ESPN To Livestream WNBA Games
ESPN announced today that it will livestream 11 regular season WNBA games during the league's current 2017 season beginning next Tuesday with the Indiana Fever-Dallas Wings game. Future live game streams will feature such teams as the San Antonio Stars, the Seattle Storm, the Chicago Sky and the New York Liberty, said network officials.
WHY THIS MATTERS: The WNBA-ESPN streaming deal comes on the heels of a three-year streaming deal reached last week between the WNBA and Twitter.

#2 Net Neutrality Supporters Claim Identity Theft
More than a dozen people who say anti-Title II comments were submitted to the FCC under their names even though they did not submit them or authorize them have called on the FCC to investigate and remove all fraudulent comments, which they suggest could actually number close to a half million.
WHY THIS MATTERS: The letter's signatories were identified through Fight for the Future's comcastroturf.com site, which was in the news earlier this week after Comcast first filed a cease-and-desist letter against the site.

#3 Facebook Signs BuzzFeed, Vox, Others for Original Shows
Facebook has signed deals with millennial-focused news and entertainment creators BuzzFeed, Vox Media, ATTN, Group Nine Media and others to make shows for its upcoming video service. The social network will pay as much as $250,000 per episode for long-form original video, and up to $35,000 for short videos.
WHY THIS MATTERS: The social network is looking to establish its own original video service and run ads to generate profit. Facebook is planning two tiers of video entertainment scripted shows with episodes lasting 20 to 30 minutes, which it will own, and shorter scripted and unscripted shows with episodes lasting about 5 to 10 minutes, which it will not own.
