Internationale Gemeinschaft fordert Wandel in Mali
Nachdem es im westafrikanischen Land Mali bereits zum zweiten Mal innerhalb von neun Monaten zu einem Umsturz der Regierung gekommen ist, reagiert nun die internationale Gemeinschaft. Die Westafrikanische Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft ECOWAS suspendierte Mali im Mai und verhängte Wirtschaftssanktionen. Bei einem Treffen am Samstag beschloss die Versammlung, die Suspendierung aufrechtzuerhalten und die Situation weiter zu beobachten. Gleichzeitig kündigte Deutschland an, Mali neu Bundeswehr-Hubschrauber zur Verfügung zu stellen. Die Fortführung des deutschen Einsatzes im westafrikanischen Land werde aber an Bedingung geknüpft: keine weiteren Staatsstreiche und der Übergangsprozess zu einer durch Wahlen legitimierten Regierung müsse fortgesetzt werden. Frankreich seinerseits übt Druck aus und setzt gemeinsame Militäroperationen mit den malischen Streitkräften aus.

La Chine, plus grand investisseur mondial en 2020, perd du terrain en Europe
Suite à l’effondrement des flux d’investissements directs étrangers (IDE) dans le monde, la Chine reste le premier investisseur mondial en 2020, avec 133 milliards de dollars investis. Cependant, les entreprises chinoises n’ont investi « que » 6.5 milliards de dollars en Europe, soit une baisse de 45% par rapport à 2019. Malgré une baisse de 80% des investissements globaux sur le Vieux Continent entre 2019 et 2020, les Européen·e·s semblent plus méfiants·e·s quant aux rachats et fusions menées par les acteurs économiques chinois, à l’image de l’Italie. Mario Draghi semble miser sur une politique atlantiste, en freinant les investissements chinois dans la Botte. De plus, un contrôle des investissements étrangers par l’UE pourrait bien ralentir l’influence chinoise dans les économies européennes.
