It was just about this time last year that Kiwi firm Jarden revealed its Australian investment banking intentions and launched a talent raid on the local market.

Fast forward 12 months and Jarden’s move was the start of what’s been the biggest year of people movement in the local investment banking scene that this column has ever seen.

And while a lot of the attention has been on the newcomers — Jarden and Barrenjoey — every bank has been getting in on the action.

On Monday, it was the turn of JPMorgan and Bank of America, snaring MDs from Westpac and Credit Suisse.

Meanwhile, in deals land tonight, we take a look at Endeavour Group’s big debt syndication, and ESR is waving goodbye to its stake in Centuria Capital.
