Dear friend,
On this eve of a New Year, I am both humbled and energized by what we have accomplished together, despite everything 2020 has thrown our way.
Amidst so much uncertainty, the farmers market community has been a rock, an essential source of nourishment and connection, and a vision of what is possible when neighbors work together. Has it been this way for you, too? For me, the farmers market has been the force of hope and positivity that has carried me through many worry-filled days. Seeing your faces every week—even when we’re behind masks—has grounded me, bolstering my faith in our shared humanity, compassion, and resilience.
We all know that rebuilding Bay Area will take much thoughtful dedication. It is hard to even predict now how our communities and habits will be changed by this pandemic. But I do know that your dedication to our farmers and food crafters, and your generosity in giving back to the community that has nourished you, is the very energy and spirit that will keep us thriving in 2021.
If you have already donated, thank you for your partnership in this shared vision! I am moved and inspired to hear why you give, and what this community means to you:
