| From the Indian Ocean to the Outback Australian feature in French magazine French travel magazine, Voyager Ici & Ailleurs, published a 36-page special on Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Voyager Ici & Ailleurs is a quarterly upscale travel magazine with a readership of 250,000. Travel writer, Lucas Lahargoue, and photographer Nicolas Anetson, explored natural and cultural wonders to inspire their readers to consider Australia as a travel destination. The two special features include a focus on Perth / Boorloo as gateway with the Qantas flight between Paris and Perth, as well as the surroundings of Perth with Rottnest Island / Wadjemup and Margaret River, as well as the Pinacles, Lancelin Dunes north of Perth. The second feature article is dedicated to the Northern Territory, with a focus on the Red Centre, with Alice Springs, MacDonnell Ranges, Kings Canyon and Uluru recognising the strong spiritual context of the place and landscape. |

Australia represented at Tourism EXPO Japan Last weekend, Tourism Australia joined the popular annual travel trade show Tourism EXPO Japan, which took place at Tokyo Big Sight. The show is Japan’s largest B2B and B2C tourism conference, exhibition and workshop event. Tourism Australia hosted an Australia stand over the four days, along with Tourism and Events Queensland, Destination NSW, Visit Victoria, Tourism Western Australia, and Tourism NT. With the Expo aiming to enhance destination awareness among avid travellers, over 182,000 visitors had the opportunity to experience Australian hospitality, understand Australia’s World Heritage and what our country can offer travellers. |

| Australian Visitor Visa Webinar in India Tourism Australia, in partnership with the Department of Home Affairs India, hosted an Australia Visitor Visa Webinar for the travel trade. Over 600 participants attended the webinar aimed to provide detailed training and insights into the Australian Visitor Visa process. For our key distribution partners, Tourism Australia organised a Visa Advisory Committee meeting with Home Affairs, focusing on best practices related to the Australian Visitor Visa process. These initiatives continue a proactive approach between our Aussie Specialist Program agents and the Department of Home Affairs to facilitate a smooth and efficient visa process for travellers from India to Australia. |

Tourism Australia attends the Signature Travel Network Owners Conference in Canada Tourism Australia recently attended the Signature Travel Network Owners Conference, which took place at Le Westin Montreal, Canada. Drawing 208 members, with over 90 percent of owners in attendance, attendees at the three day conference engaged in networking events and 20 scheduled appointments with business owners. Signature Travel Network, a key distribution partner for Tourism Australia, has had an impressive 15 percent year-over-year growth, having sold 1.7 million travellers on their preferred products. This conference highlighted its success and offered a valuable opportunity for Tourism Australia to continue fostering key industry relationships. |

New First Nations Mobile App Invites Visitors to Walk Together at Mungo National ParkThree First Nations tribal groups from the Mungo National Park and Willandra Lakes Region World Heritage Area in partnership with SharingStories Foundation, NSW Parks and Wildlife Service and students at Mildura Primary School have launched an app titled, Mungo Stories: Walk Together. The Barkandji / Paakantyi, Mutthi Mutthi and Ngiyampaa communities worked together to create this free app which is designed to offer visitors to the region a dynamic experience of the park’s vibrant heritage. The app features ten living stories narrated by First Nations Custodians who led the work on Country and is accessible only when on Country. Each of the stories is discovered via story markers which have been placed throughout the National Park immersing visitors in the knowledge and stories that live at important sites and places. Mungo Stories: Walk Together is available for download on the App Store and Google Play. |

| Maleny Botanic Gardens launches new Bush Tucker gardensMaleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland has partnered with the region’s traditional owners, the Jinibara Peoples, and local cultivators, Brush Turkey Enterprises, to create a new Bush Tucker experience. Two separate areas of the gardens have been planted with Indigenous plants used traditionally in cooking and medicine by the Jinibara Peoples. Jinibara rangers prepared the gardens and planted the shrubs and bushes, which were grown by Maleny’s Brush Turkey Enterprises who are experts in native plants, re-vegetation, and bush regeneration. Plant descriptions outlining their use in Indigenous culture have been created to educate visitors about the wide variety of uses of the plants. The Bush Tucker gardens are the latest evolution in the 23 acres of exotic gardens which are open every day from 9am to 4.30pm. |
