This week I am in Perth / Boorloo for Australia’s hosting of the World Tourism and Travel Council (WTTC) Global Summit. This year marks the WTTC’s 24th Global Summit, bringing together industry leaders and government representatives from around the world to meet on aligning efforts to support the travel sector towards a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future. The theme for this year’s event, which is being hosted by the Western Australia Government with support from Tourism Australia’s Business Events Bid Fund Program, is "Ancient Land: New Perspectives". For those not attending in person, the session highlights can be viewed on demand. Visit Global Summit 2024 (wttc.org) to register.
Applications have opened for Tourism Australia’s largest annual business-to-business event, the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE). The 45th edition of the event, ATE25, will be held in Brisbane / Meanjin at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event, being held in partnership with Tourism and Events Queensland with support from Brisbane Economic Development Authority. For more details see article below.
