Taste of Australia Japanese showcase

Australia’s premium food and beverages are being featured on the menus of 44 of Japan’s leading hotels and restaurants in a Taste of Australia promotion in March and April. The restaurants were chosen after Japanese chefs and sommeliers entered a competition to offer a three-course menu using premium Australian produce to Japanese consumers. Launched by Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in Tokyo in December 2015, the Taste of Australia menu competition emphasises the quality, taste, safety and counter-seasonal advantages of Australian food and beverages. The promotion has been organised by Austrade with support from Tourism Australia, Meat & Livestock Australia, Australian Grape and Wine Authority, Qantas Airways and the Australian Embassy in Tokyo.
