Australia expands Asia luxe outreach in biggest ILTM APAC footprint to date Last week Tourism Australia brought luxe experiences to the Asian trade at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) Asia Pacific 2025. Hosted at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, the Australia pavilion featured a total of 13 exhibitors, comprising Tourism Australia, Signature Experiences of Australia, State Tourism Organisations, and Australian luxury travel providers. On 1 July, the stand was visited by Australian High Commissioner to Singapore, Allaster Cox. The event featured a special media presentation by Tourism Australia, highlighting the Signature Experiences of Australia collectives and the latest developments in Australia's luxury offerings. Over three days of appointments and networking, Tourism Australia and our partners showcased bespoke and exclusive experiences travellers can only get in Australia to more than 650 luxury agents from across Asia. Through our showcase of products from private guided experiences via water, land and air; to wildlife adventures; along with culinary and cultural connections. Participating in the show pushed the expansion of Australia's outreach in APAC's highly valuable and growing luxury segment. |

| Tourism Australia celebrates NAIDOC Week 2025Tourism Australia celebrated the start of NAIDOC Week 2025, which has the theme this year of ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy’, with our Friend of Australia, William Barton, a Kalkadungu man and a world-renowned didgeridoo performer, composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, joining us and industry guests for a special performance. Connecting to the theme, Sydney / Warrane Elder and legendary tourism operator Aunty Margret Campbell from Dreamtime Southern X gave a meaningful and powerful Welcome to Country. For the event we partnered with the Art Gallery of New South Wales and landmark exhibition, Yolŋu power: the art of Yirrkala, showcasing almost 300 works by 98 Aboriginal artists from north-east Arnhem Land. |

| Australia in demand at Travel Leaders Network EDGE Tourism Australia recently participated in one of North America’s premier events for travel professionals, Travel Leaders Network EDGE (Educate, Discover, Gather, Evolve) conference in Las Vegas. One of the world’s largest travel advisor consortiums and long-standing partner of Tourism Australia, Travel Leaders Network represents over 5,700 travel agency locations and more than 85,000 travel advisors across the United States and Canada. During the conference, Tourism Australia met with top-performing luxury advisors during Luxury Forum appointments and delivered several training workshops over the course of the week. Ambassador Ruby Roo a was a crowd favourite during the popular trade show showcase, with strong interest in Australia’s tourism offering amongst the advisors in attendance. |

EGL celebrates 39th anniversary with a spectacular travel carnival EGL, a Premier Aussie Specialist Agent and key distribution partner in Hong Kong, is celebrating its 39th anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, the ‘EGL Thank You 39 Travel Carnival’ was held last month at East Point City, one of Hong Kong’s most densely populated shopping malls. The event attracted around 200,000 visitors over two days, representing a 5 per cent increase in footfall which is equivalent to 5,000 additional visits when compared to a typical weekend. |

| Malaysian celebrities in Western Australia for family broadcast challenge Last month Tourism Australia and Tourism Western Australia hosted two Malaysian celebrity mothers and their daughters for a broadcast series developed by the ASTRO Group. Shiera and Dey Dey, with Adira Suhaimi and Anggrek, set off on an adventure across Perth / Boorloo, Rottnest Island, Fremantle, Busselton, Pemberton and Nambung National Park. The weekly series shows the group braving comedic and experiential challenges, immersing them in amazing landscapes and vibrant local cultures, while deepening their mother-daughter bonds. Premiering on 20 August, with eight episodes on Malaysian channels Astro Prima, Astro Ceria, Astro GO and on-demand, the series will also be promoted on Astro Ceria, Meletop, Shiera’s and Adira Suhaimi’s social media channels. The activity will also complement Tourism Australia’s upcoming family-friendly travel campaign, aimed at high-yield, multi-generational travellers in Malaysia. |
