| Worst week for equities but gold glisters
Another extraordinary week in ETFs sees us reporting on what was the worst week for equities globally according to BlackRock. While markets remained volatile, gold has come into its own with record breaking inflows into gold ETFs.
We also focused this week on the pending launch of the first non or semi-transparent ETF in the US. American Century Investment’s Ed Rosenberg tells us about their planned launches through the structures offered by NYSE and Precidian. And we also have an interview with Precidian’s Dan McCabe who details the state of play with their semi-transparent structure, with 14 active manager licensees representing USD14 trillion in assets. Will these new ETFs see the beginning of the end for mutual funds as some observers predict?
We also have an interview with Ted Lucas of Hartford Funds on the firms planned expansion in its ETF range and its thoughts on the non or semi-transparent ETF structure.
Finally, we have an interview with Alan Miller of SCM Direct, a speaker at our inaugural event etfLIVE in May in London. All the information you need is here…
