Europe Through the Eyes of Faith

Years ago, I was talking to a friend who was going to Portugal as a missionary. He planned to start a surfing ministry to reach young people who hung out on the beaches, and I teased him about following such a hard calling. In truth it was hard because Portugal, like so much of Europe, has become post-Christian. When I mentioned that fact, he stumbled over the phrase "post-Christian" and corrected me. "I like to say pre-Christian" he said.

I liked that. I was describing Europe considering the past. He was looking to the future, through eyes of faith.

That’s the same idea behind this article: Is Europe Post-Christian or Pre-Revival? In it, missionary Sarah Breuel describes what she sees happening with the church throughout Europe.

It’s important to send missionaries abroad. But it’s also crucial to remember that people from all over the world are coming to the U.S. They present an incredible opportunity to share the love of Christ. Ministry to Refugees and Immigrants will help you and your church gain insight into the cross-cultural ministry opportunities and discover ideas on how you should approach them.
