EuroportEuroport addresses big themes

'Smart’ and connected ships are also safer, greener and more cost-effective ships, which is why the themes underpinning Europort 2017 concern the role of Man vs. Machine in a world where environmental responsibility has become a requirement.

Big Data; The New Environmental Age; and the Human Factor over-arch Europort 2017, signifying how vessel performance increasingly relies on complex systems connectivity, whose environmental performance is monitored, run by app-savvy seafarers born in the internet age. Download the Europort brochure to see how Europort is leading the discussion on shipping’s need to invest in all three, and particularly in the human capital the maritime industry needs to address the challenges of tomorrow.

EuroportEuroport’s global proportions

Global maritime connectivity is a talking point in more ways than one at Europort 2017, as it shapes up as the most international gathering in the event’s history, with visitors and exhibitors expected from over 50 countries.

At a time when market conditions remain tough, companies active in maritime and offshore need to look beyond their local markets for new business. The Europort exhibition is hosting pavilions from The Netherlands, Spain, France, China, UK, Croatia, Italy, Finland, Greece, Korea, Iran, Romania and Singapore amongst others.

EuroportForging Iranian business links

Participants at Europort 2017 are being offered a unique opportunity to establish new and lasting ties with Iran’s fast-growing maritime sector.

Europort pioneered efforts to revive links between the global maritime industry and counterparts in Iran immediately after the lifting of sanctions, through its strategic role in IRANIMEX. IRANMEX2016, staged in last October, attracted 300 exhibitors from 22 countries.

The largest Iran Pavilion at any international maritime exhibition in 2017 will certainly act as a draw for those wishing to make high level contacts with the nation’s leading shipping companies, shipyards and equipment manufacturers. Visitors will also be able to find out more about IRANIMEX2017, once more powered by Europort, which takes place on Kish Island between 12-14 December 2017.
