In our online course Evaluating, Auditing, and Diversifying Your Collections starting October 19, you’ll learn from an outstanding group of experts as they explore key concepts essential to cultivating and promoting inclusive and equitable collections. You’ll conduct a diversity audit of your collections, learn how to include diverse books and wider perspectives, and be more responsive to the community you serve and more reflective of the diversity of our world.

Here’s what past participants are saying about the course:

“The presenters were top-notch. Highly professional, exceptionally prepared, and absolutely the individuals that were needed to share these important presentations. They were all, without exception, passionate about their work and it was contagious! The time for this work is now and if this doesn't light a fire to start the process, then nothing will. So many solid ideas, tips, real-world examples, and resources were presented to us - practically gift wrapped - that the work should and will be able to proceed easily. They are at our disposal to answer any questions and they are happy to share what they know. This is probably the best workshop I have attended in all my years in the library business (25+) and by far the most important one I have attended this year. Thank you!”
- Kim Valeika Program and Outreach Manager Davis County Library

This class really gives you a lot to think about. I have begun looking at my collections and my displays in a new light.”
- Lynnette Hopwood, MLIS Adult and Teen Collection Development Librarian

One of the most thorough courses about creating space for everyone within a library.
- Diane Garcia, children's librarian

The speaker program runs on Tuesdays, October 19, 26, and November 2, 2:00-4:00pm ET (recordings available) with an ongoing, asynchronous facilitator-led workshop over 3 weeks.
