Sanction attempts from 2020 to 2022 accounted for 47% of total censorship efforts since 2000. Attorneys with The Rutherford Institute are asking the Oklahoma Supreme Court to overturn a five-year restraining order a judge granted to a lesbian couple who complained that a street preacher’s social media posts were harassing and threatening. Rich Penkoski, who runs Warriors for Christ, spoke out against a church in Bartleville’s support for same-sex marriages and drag shows with children in attendance. Christian family expert Adam Holz says that youth struggling with a porn addiction can benefit from a loving, parental connection and a relationship with God. During an interview with CP, Holz—the director of Focus on the Family's PluggedIn publication—explained why there's no "one-size-fits-all strategy" for helping teens struggling with porn addiction. Holz stressed the importance of relationship-building and teaching children about God's love, saying there must be an "embrace of truth," which might include limited access to screens as families "re-embrace healthy and Godly choices in this area." During an interview with Christian Headlines, Christian hip-hop artist KB said secular hip-hop and rap music teach young people to "hate Jesus." The Dove Award-winning artist explained that hip-hop is the most listened-to genre in the U.S., including by children in the "suburbs" and those in the "upper class," and asserted that the messages impressionable young people hear in secular lyrics are opposed to the Gospel.
