CHICAGO: ISSA Show North America 2022 will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago from Oct. 10-13, 2022. The annual Informa Markets-produced trade show for the worldwide cleaning industry recently drew more than 10,000 guests to the Las Vegas Convention Center, where they experienced over 520 exhibitors and more than 100 education sessions and workshops. LAS VEGAS: Specialty Food Association’s 2022 Winter Fancy Food Show will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Feb. 6-8. The specialty food-industry trade show will include samplings of food and beverages from around the world, as well as educational programming, a pavilion for start-up creators and more. LOS ANGELES: Netflix and Live Nation will host a star-studded comedy festival called "Netflix Is a Joke" in Los Angeles from April 28 to May 8. Featuring live shows, fan activations and special events with the likes of Amy Poehler, Chris Rock, Seth Rogen, Tina Fey and David Letterman, the festival will be hosted at 25 venues around the city, ranging from Dodger Stadium to the Hollywood Bowl. Tickets go on sale on Friday. NEW HAVEN, CONN: Hotel Marcel New Haven, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will be opening in April as the nation’s first net-zero and Passive House-certified hotel. The 165-room property will generate 100% of its own heat and hot water power via solar panels, and it will include a Power Over Ethernet lighting system, electric car charging stations and more. There will be 7,000 square feet of event space. ST. LOUIS: Switch has hired Joe Hirsch as its new senior vice president of sales and marketing. Hirsch has 30 years of experience in the hospitality and event industry, most recently working as vice president of field sales for PRA Business Events.
