NATIONAL: Equality Now will host its virtual “Make Equality Reality” gala tonight at 8:30 p.m. ET. The event will honor Drew Dixon, Shanita Hubbard, Nadeen Ashraf, On the Record filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering, and other artists and activists working to make a more equal world for women and girls.

CAMDEN, NJ: The Hilton Garden Inn Camden Waterfront opens Dec. 4; it’s the first hotel to open in the South Jersey city in over 50 years. The 180-room hotel has 4,100 square feet of multiuse space with projection screens and 65-inch smart TVs, plus an executive board room and a ballroom that holds as many as 240 people.

MIAMI/SOUTH FLORIDA: The Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival, presented by Capital One, has postponed its 2021 event to May 20-23.

NEW YORK: ReedPop has retired BookExpo, the U.S. publishing industry’s largest trade show. The show, along with BookCon and Unbound, will not be held in 2021 after being canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19. ReedPop is currently talking to publishers and other partners about different ways to host a similar event.

NIAGARA FALLS, NY: Destination Niagara USA has launched a series of 360-degree videos designed specifically for meeting planners to virtually explore meeting and event venues in Niagara Falls.
