NATIONAL: The eighth annual Digital Entertainment World will take place Feb. 8-12. The virtual conference will focus on the advertising, gaming, music, esports and podcasting communities, with speakers from the likes of YouTube, ViacomCBS, Peloton, PBS, Samsung and more. More than 2,000 attendees are expected. 

Julie Brakenbury has been named the new president of the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA), effective Jan. 22 during the group's 2021 conference. Brakenbury is also the director of destination services for the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau. 

Wolfgang Puck Catering has launched a new series of virtual, interactive cooking classes. The first event will take place Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. ET, when vice president of culinary Eric Klein will teach participants to make the company's signature chicken pot pie. The class costs $185, and attendees will be mailed a box of premeasured ingredients.

NEW YORK: The Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park is extending its season through March 28 due to increased demand for outdoor activities during COVID-19. Highlights include a free-admission skating rink open daily, an open-air market featuring local businesses, an outdoor cocktail bar, rentable igloos for small events and more.

SAN FRANCISCO: Nicole Rogers has been named executive vice president/chief sales officer for San Francisco Travel. In her new role, Rogers will oversee the city's convention division. She previously worked with Marriott for the past 20 years.
