Remembrance Day
Monday 11 November  I  Cockburn War Memorial  10.30am


A service will be held at the City of Cockburn War Memorial, corner of Rockingham Road and Carrington Street, Hamilton Hill. All are welcome.

Following the completion of the service, members of the community along with RSL members will be invited back to the sub-branch for a BBQ lunch at Cockburn RSL Sub Branch, 73 Frederick Road, Hamilton Hill WA 6163.
Celebrate Ability
Tuesday 3 December    I    Bibra Lake Regional Playground   I   10am-1pm


Celebrate Ability is a free event and everyone is welcome. It offers fun and inclusive activities to celebrate everyone's abilities.
See live performances by:
  • The Sunday Collective - Playtime with Grace and Fergus who bring music to life in their unique way 
  • Dance Ability Performing Arts Kelette
  • A beautiful performance by Lilyan
  • Amazing electric guitar skills by Keiren Wouk
  • Face painting
  • A visit from Santa
  • Plus loads of free and fun activities
  • We also have the Changing Places facility on site.
Come along parents, carers, grandparents, schools, everyone! We'd love to have you.

Christmas Collective

Satuday 7 December  I   Cockburn ARC, Cockburn Central  I   2-8pm


The City, Cockburn ARC and the Fremantle Football Club are working together to bring you the Christmas Collective - a day of frivolity, splashin' activities and Freo football fun.

Slide N Splash (2-5pm)
Will take place at Cockburn ARC. Pack you bathers as well as a picnic and enjoy a summers day by the pool and slides.

Freo Football Festival (4-6pm)
Watch your favourite Freo Dockers train on their ground, plus there will be free activities on the oval to test your footy skills.

Carols on the Green (6-8pm)
After all the fun of the slide n splash party and the festival of football, settle down on the green for a traditional carols event taking place on centre stage. Sing along to your favourite Christmas songs and immerse yourself in the feeling that is Christmas with family and friends.

Australia Day Coogee Beach Festival

  • 10-11am    Bradley Hall Band
  • 11am-midday    Down Town Band
Activities in the park
  • Free sausage sizzle (while stocks last)
  • Free water amusement rides and slides
  • Basket Weaving
  • South Coogee Volunteer Fire Bush Brigade demonstrations
  • Multicultural food availabe to purchase on site
On the beach
  • Mermaids from 10am-midday
  • Sandcastle building competition 8-11am 
Free bikes checks and secure bike parking will be available.

  • Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Bathers and towel
  • Cash - as there are no EFTPOS machines.
Road closures and parking
Powell Road access closed 6am to 1pm. Parking for this event is opposite the beach off Cockburn Road and at Coogee Hall off Howick Court. Access to Coogee Beach Cafe and regular beach goers parking is via Peri end through Orsino Bvd. The City of Cockburn apologises for any inconvenience that this event may cause.
