Excluding Washington D.C's $15 hourly minimum wage, California has the highest in the country at $14 per hour. Massachusetts and Washington are close behind, with $13.50 per hour and $13.69 per hour, respectively.
The full list of states to see a wage increase as of Jan. 1 include Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, South Dakota, Vermont, and Washington state.
Connecticut, Nevada, Oregon and Virginia will all increase their minimum wage later in the year.
