(Though, according to most Americans, that's still not enough for him to be the GOAT.) Abdul-Jabbar, to his credit, has handled the situation with grace, penning a thoughtful essay about his record being broken. And a phoneless Phil Knight was also able to offer an important reminder of the importance of living in the moment when witnessing an achievement like LeBron's.
