CBS Sports Football Pick Six Newsletter

We're now just hours away from the 2020 NFL season kicking off and it's time to cram in your last minute picks on tonight's game -- and if you were thinking of playing DFS we've got the perfect show for you. R.J. White joins the show to deliver game prop picks, advice for DFS and more. This is the perfect cram session if you still don't feel quite ready for tonight's game.
Over the last week or so, our staff has gone deep with their favorite picks for the 2020 season and we've finally arrived on playoff predictions and there are certainly some juicy ones. The one thing our staff agreed on was simply to disagree -- these picks are all over the place with very little in common. NFC North, NFC West, and AFC South picks varied. The Patriots won't fare well without Brady, the Texans are getting no respect, and eight teams received exactly zero votes to make the playoffs. It's going to be a whacky year!
Tom Fornelli doesn't pick every game in Week 1, instead narrowing it down to his favorite lines on the board, so when he drops them, we tend to listen. Fornelli pinpointed one game where the under seems impossible not to hit, and more important, he's got a major Week 1 upset that will reset the narrative for both teams moving forward.

It's never too early for a mock draft -- or at least that's what our draft analyst Josh Edwards told me after submitting his way-too-early predictions on what's to come. I don't know why this would surprise you anymore given the last few draft classes, but Edwards feels great about three quarterbacks coming off the board in the first 10 picks. Having said that, it might not be the three you're expecting -- or the three teams you're expecting to draft one. Hint: Derek Carr might want to put his house on the market now.
Mahomes has soared to the top of his profession in a short time (with an MVP and a Super Bowl), but his impressive run goes way beyond those two accolades. Jeff Kerr dove deep into the numbers to break down Mahomes' historic start to his career. Compare Mahomes' start to every all-time great and he comes out on top in literally every statistical category. Jump in and check out why Mahomes' trajectory is unlike anything we've ever seen.
