Post-Covid Gen Z on Campus

The inability of Gen Z-ers to see friends, participate in sports, and go out during Covid-19 led to an increased sense of loneliness and isolation. While adults have also experienced similar feelings, those in Gen Z are in a developmental period where friendships and socializing are essential to their identity.

As post-Covid Gen Zers arrive on campus in the decade ahead, institutions need to evolve to provide them with the support they need to succeed academically and socially.

The Future of Gen Z provides campus leaders with insight on how Covid-19 is likely to shape the preferences of incoming college students and how institutions are responding to their needs and expectations.
