“Oh, no!” my client exclaimed. “I’m trying to send you a snippet of my screen, but my snipping tool isn’t working.”

Hello John

I hope you are well.

Did you know there's an easy way to take a snippet of a range of cells, a table, or even a Pivot Table?

Here are the steps.

Select your cells, chart, Pivot Table, etc.

Click the Home tab on your Ribbon.

In the Clipboard group, click the arrow next to Copy and select Copy as Picture.

When the Copy Picture dialog box pops up, select As shown on screen and Picture

Click OK

Navigate to where you want to paste the item (PowerPoint, email, Teams message, etc.).

Right-click and select Paste (shortcut: CTRL V).

This is a skill we teach in the following classes:
Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts (4 hours)
Excel Dashboards (8 hours)

Feel free to share this email with anyone who will find this useful.

Warmly,
