For Joanne and Mick, volunteering at Vinnies has become a family affair. On Tuesdays, Joanne can be found at the Canning Vale depot, where she recruited her husband Mick as a volunteer to carry out electrical testing and tagging. They're always busy, surrounded by things like kettles, televisions and toasters. |

On Friday 11 December, Afternoons presenter Gillian O'Shaugnessy will be presenting her final show after working with the ABC for 24 years. "I'll miss our beautiful radio community immeasurably, that is, our wonderful listeners, my colleagues and my darling Slim but Savage,” said Gillian. As part of the appeal, Gillian O'Shaughnessy, Geoff Hutchison, Nadia Mitsopoulos and Russell Woolf went head to head in an op-shop fashion show. With just $30, each presenter visited their local Vinnies store to pick out their Christmas party outfit. Who was best dressed? You decide... |
