Among the highlights:
Virtually all the leaders love their jobs — but nearly all of them also say the relentless demands weigh on them. That’s why a third of CEOs plan to leave their current role in the next two years, and 22 percent say they may leave the social sector altogether.
Eighty percent of the leaders say securing needed funds has gotten harder than ever.
Forty percent say a big challenge is that their boards are not engaged.
To distill the results of the survey, senior editor Ben Gose talked to leaders nationwide about their experiences and how they are coping with all the pressures they face.
