Exclusive: DSA Code of Practice shifts radically forward

Euractiv has learned that the Commission is bringing forward by several months the integration of the 2022 Code of Practice on Disinformation into the DSA framework as a Code of Conduct.
Instead of being integrated by 1 July as originally planned, a Commission official told Euractiv it will be by mid-February.
The 2022 Code of Practice on Disinformation - is a self-regulatory code signed by US big tech companies like Meta, Google, Microsoft and TikTok. It was initially planned to be integrated into the DSA by 1 July. It has been in the news lately as some of the platforms try to retreat from their fact-checking commitments.
