Good morning Voornaam

It's Tuesday, the sun has gone and it may seem rather bleak - but remember, the football is on, Scotland are playing tomorrow and coffee exists and can be easily sourced. So have a good breakfast, settle back and we'll talk you through some of the top and most interesting stories of the morning.

A top exclusive from us this morning from our Arts and Culture Correspondent, Brian Ferguson - The spectacular three night Festival curtain-raiser that will transform school overlooking Edinburgh Castle.

Brian explains: "The Edinburgh International Festival is to stage a spectacular three-night curtain-raiser in the grounds of an historic school looking onto Edinburgh Castle.

"George Heriot’s School, which has been compared to fictional wizarding school Hogwarts by many Harry Potter fans, will be transformed for an after-dark event inspired by the unique landscape of the Scottish capital, including its hidden vaults and tunnels."

Read everything you need to know here.

Next up, sport, naturally. We can't be in the midst of the Euros and not talk about football.

The red card from Friday night's game against Germany has reared it's head, and Scotland have been hit with a blow as Ryan Porteous receives a sanction from UEFA.

Read more here.

And lastly, our education correspondent Calum Ross is looking at how free music lessons could be put 'at risk' amid row over outsourcing plans.

He explains: "The future of free instrumental music tuition for school pupils in Scotland will be put in doubt if outsourcing plans are approved today, campaigners have warned."

Keep up with the story right here

Whatever your plans today, have a great one.
